Bibles

There are 68,000 villages in Bangladesh. Our goal is to place the Muslim Bengali dialect Bible in the hands of the Muslim imams (pastors) in each of these villages by 2015.

• The cost to purchase and deliver each Bible is $20.
• The total need is $20 x 68,000 = $1,320,000

Literacy Programs

GFM’s current focus is in the region where our NGO, Humanitarian Aid for Rural Development (H.A.R.D.) is based. The need is to build 2 schools, sponsor 800 children to continue their education through high school, and support 2 adult literacy programs (100 participants each) in the community.

• Build a school = $25,000 (2 x $25,000 = $50,000)
• Sponsor a child’s education = $10/mo. (800 x $120/yr. = $96,000 total)
• Support an adult literacy program = $50/person/yr ($50/yr x 200 = $10,000 total)

In closed Muslim countries, very few have access to the Bible. Our current focus is on 10% of the world’s Muslim population that speak Bengali as their first language—over 160 million people! The literacy rate is less than 50% in Bangladesh, where most of the Bengali Muslims live.

In the Qur’an, Islam’s holy book, Muslims are instructed to read the Torah (5 books of Moses), the Zabur (Psalms of David), and the Injil (the Gospel of Jesus). While Muslims attest that the Bible has been corrupted, they are still looking for these three “lost” books. Just recently, a very creative and effective translation of the Bible for Bengali Muslims has become available, presenting God’s Word in its entirety in their dialect, but represented in these three books. GFM is committed to giving God’s Word to each Muslim imam (pastor) in Bangladesh’s 68,000 villages, via our culturally sensitive GFM Asia team.

Through GFM’s initiatives you can make God’s Word available and accessible to Muslims in their own heart language. You can be a part of distributing the Bible in the Muslim Bengali dialect half-way around the world! You can also partner with GFM to establish literacy programs for children and adults in rural areas so that these Muslims can continue in their education and read God’s Word.

Muslim people groups living under difficult conditions and even those at times affected by both human conflict and natural disasters are a great opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Your donation can be used to bless those in need with food, potable water, medical attention, and other forms of relief from difficult circumstances. Such acts of service almost always open doors to share about life and salvation through Christ.

The GFM Institute is our equipping school for everyone from small groups to large churches who wish to share the Gospel with Muslims more effectively and sensitively. Get excited about sharing with Muslims by attending or hosting a single seminar or a series of classes covering different topics of interest.

Dr. Sarker, the founder of GFM, and his staff are available to conduct UMMP (Understand My Muslim People) seminars on how to effectively minister to Muslims. Dr. Sarker, a former Muslim, is also available to share his personal testimony message, "The Gospel Changes Lives," in church services and at mission conferences.

Dr. Sarker is a sought-after event speaker and seminar presenter on Islam, and he shares his passion and insights at Christian conferences, and on radio and television programs across North America.

His first-hand experience, training, and scholarly research prepared him to write Understand My Muslim People, a book helping Christians understand and reach out to his Muslim people. He has also contributed to other Christian publications, including writing a chapter for The Evangelism Guidebook, a collaborative effort with Rick Warren, Luis Palau, and others.

Support an MBB (Muslim Background Believer) missionary in America to reach out to his or her own Muslim people. Many Muslims come to the U.S. every year searching for hope and a brighter future. Upon their transition here, there are countless opportunities to minister to and help Muslims here in the U.S. and who better than someone with their same background who loves Jesus.

Every year GFM partners with a network of (MBB's) Muslim Background Believers to host our Annual MBB Conference. This two day conference is a chance to hear the amazing things God is doing around the world in the hearts of Muslims. Hear testimonies of how former Muslims have come to faith in Jesus Christ, take part in teachings on a wide range of topics regarding reaching out to Muslims, and find out exciting ways how you can use your gifts to partner in the work God is doing amongst His Muslim peoples.
